Short Profile

The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program is an academic program that plays a strategic role in preparing prospective teachers who are excellent, humanistic, and inclusive through the strengthening of contextual pedagogical competencies grounded in social sciences and local cultural knowledge. In addition to producing graduates qualified to teach Islamic Religious Education at all levels and types of education, the program equips students with supporting competencies as developers of digital-based Islamic educational content, research assistants in Islamic Religious Education, practitioners of religious education in the community, and edupreneurs in the field of Islamic Religious Education.

The program contributes to the advancement of knowledge and community engagement through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by its academic community at the local, national, and international levels. Its distinctiveness lies in the development of humanistic, inclusive, and contextual Islamic Religious Education through the integration of local cultural values, academic traditions, and community empowerment practices, positioning Islamic Religious Education not merely as a normative discipline, but as an adaptive pedagogical praxis responsive to social, cultural, and national dynamics, while also serving as a distinguishing strength in the development of innovative and sustainable edupreneurship competencies.
